David and Andy have been preparing for the forthcoming hands on training by getting their teeth into the pre-training prep. They were provided with a link the QuestUAV’s “Crewroom” – a Dropbox folder containing all the documentation and checklists required to complete a successful mission from start to finish. The Flying Checklists, QuestUAV Manual, Logbook, CAP 722 (UK Legal Document for UAV Flying) and simulator software are all there.
“We’re looking forward to it, the hotel is booked and we’re hoping for a window in the weather,” David said.
Once David and Andy have completed the work-up schedule they will be ready to “hit the ground running” and engage in an intensive training program at the QuestUAV training base.
