Congratulations from QuestUAV on your stunning progress

What Dave and Andy have achieved is no mean feat.  Operating in such a hostile environment and with just the basic UAV training from four months before to rely on, would leave any team feeling somewhat queasy about the challenges that lay ahead. But these guys have just got on and done it and the results are spectacular.

Back at QuestUAV we have been quite naturally keen to follow their progress with a typical 200 QuestUAV version from late 2012.  It turns out to have been a pretty tough beast having to manage vicious landings on rock and ice. Obviously we make ’em tough and repairable for just this kind of environment but it’s still good to hear that they are living up to their name as hardy and capable beasts.

We sent the York Uni team out with a bag of spares such as props, speed controllers, and spars it seems that they are slowly working their way through them. Nothing like being prepared and all part of the service for this kind of expedition from QuestUAV! Of course wings and bodies not required – they are pretty close to indestructible. Just hope they done prove us wrong on that one! LOL.

Good luck guys from all back at the QuestUAV workshops and see you when you get back.
